Children & AdolescentsSigns of future crowding and bite issues of a child’s dental development at a young age can be recognised as young as 7 years of age. It may not always be necessary to start treatment at such a young age, but an evaluation can predict the best time to commence treatment.
AdultsIt is a myth that if you did not have orthodontic treatment/braces as an adolescent that you cannot correct your bite as an adult. Your options may include metal braces, clear braces, aligners (Invisalign) or lingual braces. Not every patient is a candidate for lingual braces and suitability will be determined by Dr de Villiers.
BracesMetal braces are the most common and smallest type of braces. These are made from high-grade stainless steel. Clear braces are made from translucent material and have a cosmetic appeal. The elastic ties over the clear braces may discolor, but these can be changed at every visit or between visits. Lingual braces are applied to the inside of the teeth, rather than the outside. Dr de Villiers will determine whether the patient is a suitable candidate for lingual braces.
Orthodontic Treatment Costs
Orthodontic pricing is determined by the specific treatment the patient requires. Every patient is unique and a custom treatment plan is developed based on the complexity of the problem and the duration of treatment. We offer adjustable payment options to make it easier to manage paying your fees.
The cost of treatment can be budgeted on a monthly basis or should you wish to pay the treatment fee upfront we do offer a discount on the quoted fee.
After the patient’s initial consultation and records were done, a personalised treatment plan and cost estimate will be e-mailed. Every patient’s treatment plan is customized and that is why the cost of treatment may be different for each patient. We are open to discuss payment options with which you are comfortable.
